It is sad to see Muslims nowadays does not act the way Muslims should act. People start to behave like they didn't have control over their life. Well, there are a few things that we can't control. I'm talking about things that we, as a human beings, gifted with great mind, should be able to control. We can control how we act. We can control what we eat. We can control what to say or what to see. So here are few things that make me sad as a Muslim.
1. Smokers
Don't care if you are active or mildly active, but the thing that you do is just wrong and impermissible. First of all, you risking you health and more than that you are jeopardizing the rest of the people around you. People, stay away from smokers if they don't want to stay away from you. Don't you know that there is a fatwa saying that smoking is Haram. Or you just trying to be an ignorant fool. Moreover, even ustaz is among the heavy duty smokers. The one who teach kids about Islam and yet, they are the one who do the sinful act. Can you believe that? Can you believe that?
2. Musicians and Dancers
I know, it's almost the end of the world. Even muslim are behaving like non-muslim. They sing and dance like there is no tomorrow. There are limitation in singing and dancing in Islam. In Malaysia, it sadly to see that young generation is overwhelmed with this music thing. Major contestants of singing reality tv show is Muslim or Muslimah. I mean what on earth are they doing on the stage. They are not even near good vocal if you know what I mean. And the worst thing of all, their parents, yes their parents, wearing tudung (hijab) and all covering up, just let their kids jumping around and screaming like crazy people on the stage, performing their talents so that everyone can clap their hands. And you know what. The saddest of all, the clappers and the big applause and the standing ovation are all coming from Muslim audience. If i think about it, it's just make me sick. And it happens in Malaysia who claims that Islam is our official religion. Wake up Malaysian! Wake up.
3. Gamblers
For you who like to queue up to enter the gate of hell, i just want to say, i don't have any idea on what you are doing. It is sick to see Muslim brothers lining up in a lottery shop to buy a lottery ticket. Do you know that it is Haram to eat from money sourced from winning lottery. What do you expect from Haram money. It does not even have barakah at all. May Allah protect us from consuming Haram things. Dear gamblers, have a pity for your family if you don't have pity for yourself. Don't drag your family with you to the hellfire. Drag yourself in. It's less burdening that way. I know, we live in material world. Money is not everything!
4. Mat Rempits
Okay, if you are Malaysian, you know what I am talking about. These young kids really piss off everyone. They ride like a pro but they die like frog. Splat on the road. Okay, we know your skill. You good. Even better than pro like Rossi. But can you consider this. You are killing yourself! Okay, minor accident may not be a slap on you face. If you die on the road, on that red spot, there is no slap on the face anymore. It's a one way ticket to the graveyard. Okay, good activity such as reading, exercising, praying sounds like so boring to you. Try find a good job. Stay away from the rempit thing. You are better without that.
5. The Gender Confuse
Yes I know. You do not wish to be born like that. Girl stuck in boy's body and boy stuck in girl's body. Okay, it's a complicate thing to discuss. But hear this, Allah created us with purpose. And that purpose is only to worship Him. Do not question why you are like this and that. The answer has already been given to you. So stop pretending someone that you are not. Your instinct may be unexplainable. Only Allah knows what is best. He will not burden you unless you can take that burden. So, be strong. Don't get carried away by nafsu and people around you. It's okay to be gentle or rough as long as you are not crossing the line. And for the rest of us, don't be too judgmental. We are not perfect. I am not perfect. So, stop being so prejudice about them. They are human being like us. We need to approach them with care and compassion. Not fear and ridicule. They need to be told and they need to understand. What they did such as men behaving like woman and vice versa is wrong. It's wrong in Islam.
I write and I reflect to myself. I don't like what you do. But I respect you. You know why? Because what you will be tomorrow maybe better than what I am today.
